Just bought this 85 250R and figured I rebuild the forks for fun. Turns out they were filled with mud! One of them separated nicely. The other one... not so much. Turns out the inner bushing was so worn that it would jam inside the outer bushing rather than pop it and the seal out! After getting medieval on it, it came apart.
Here's the good part: I can get the outer slider bushings no problem. The inner bushing that I turned into raw hamburger is NOT AVAILABLE!!!!!! WTF?!
Where? How? Who? I'm f@cked aren't I?
Anyone know if an 86 Tri-z bushing fit? 39mm conventional fork too, isn't it?
BTW, I searched, and searched and searched...
