Can I run my 1985 atc 250R without the rear caliper torque arm/ And what is the purpose of this arm the 86
did not come with one anyone with info please let me know I also need to know the length of the arm from
center to center in case I have to make one. Thks.

No it is not a good idea to ride with out it as it keeps the caliper it place. On the 86 the caliper mount fits over a bushing in the swing arm and that keeps the caliper stationary.

I need the dimentions of this torque arm so I can make one then because they are telling me its a discontinued part from honda.

I doubt length is important. My old race quad used one and I made a shorter one to move the caliper.
Just make one that places the caliper in the spot you want it to be.
