He made a mistake on the 87 Shrouds, not there. The parts that I know of for the 200X are, brand new front skid plate in the original bag, fork boots and the rear fender. I am going to look at everything tommorrow and figure out how I plan on selling a lot of these parts. I am probably going to keep some things as well. The first items to go either on Ebay or to the right offer are the 3 crate motors, (1) 86 250R motor and (2) 350X motors.

I have 4 Ohtsu 23X8.00-11 front tires, they are super rare as you know and will probably hit Ebay as will most of the parts. I need to go through everything tomorrow and get pictures etc and then I will figure out how I plan on selling all these parts.

The bottom line is I dished out a lot of money here and would like to get that back, if you don't want to buy from me then don't. I would love to give everything away at 3 wheeler forums for the prices that everyone wants but I can't do that at this point. If I didn't buy the lot of parts most of you wouldn't even have a chance to get anything because the other guy would have just sold everything local and wasn't go to deal with any shipping etc. So I guess I am as Malcom would say a Real Professional Asshole.

The front is an Enkei with the date stamp of 08/86, the rears you can still get I believe and they are DID rims.

I am a firm believer of supply and demand. You want something and are willing to pay he price fine. If not dont buy it. It doesnt matter to me if someone bought said parts, bike whatever for $1 and sold it to me for $10,000, thats my choice to buy it and up to the owner to charge what they want.

I think you have a great deal on the fenders and the NOS 85 headlight shell Donzi. I am thinking hard about restoring A 86 ATC250R and if I do, it would do a 100% OEM build. The parts are out there so now would actually be the time, you guys need to jump on these parts while you can!

Wow, this thread went from something really cool to a back biting, jealousy ridden, bitc* fest. I was thrilled when I heard a member bought the parts! He was lucky enough to make a deal with the owner and that is plain and simple. Anyone of us could have come across this deal, and given a chance we would have done the exact same thing!!! He dropped some serious coinage on these parts and just like all investments he should maximize the price on his investments.

He can and should sell the parts for whatever he can. Especially in this economy. If the stuff does not sell, he is obvioulsy over priced for the current market and may need to rethink his prices.

Donzi: Congrats again! I wish you the best of luck and a great return on your investment.

His was pretty mint and I think it went to Dubai so he probably did get the money for it. I sold mine for $1300 but it was a little scratched up and needed the wire harness to be re-done. I sold all three of the motors that I had in less than 2 weeks of getting all the parts. I have had a few guys come in and spend $3000+ without blinking an eye and they want more stuff already.

Not 86/87 200x. One lead goes to the main harness, one goes to the headlight... I THINK one is for a keyed ignition... what does the 4th lead go to?.... Sorry just trying to help

It does not look like it is for the 87 200x. I have one and it does not look like that. The ignition wire is its own cable and connects further down on the main wiring harness.

Could it be a 125M or something else with a single headlamp? I bet VMS would know; But, it seems like it was for a keyed ignition and no reverse which helps narrow it down.

Def a 86-87+ model switch and you can eliminate all the electric start models because their would be a button just below the run on/off switch so you have 4 models to pick between 200x - atc250r - trx250r - 350x maybe its a 87 atc250r LOL .

Switches- I remember way back when Adam was selling this stuff he was playing with honda switches....meaning taking some existing switches and professionally rewiring them to fit other models.....you couldnt tell that he had worked on them. Not sure if this mystery switch is one of those

Def a 86-87+ model switch and you can eliminate all the electric start models because their would be a button just below the run on/off switch so you have 4 models to pick between 200x - atc250r - trx250r - 350x maybe its a 87 atc250r LOL .

the switch looks like the one that came with a 88 trx250r headlight and hood assembly i bought awhile ago

I think it has been customized by someone, like Orangecnty also suspects. I have not seen a rubber cover that was translucent on anything from Honda. They are usually all black. Whatever it is, its cool, but its going to be difficult to sell it without knowing what it was intended to work for. The 2 experts that would need to weigh-in on this would be Mike from VMS and petesatc. These guys would have the best chance of knowing if it was real or not. Maybe it will fit that alleged 87 250r in Tempe!...haha

Yea Im not sure what it goes too, your right i have never seen a translucent harness cover like that on any atc, Honda is pretty resourcefull about using the same design switch on multiple bikes , it may possibly even fit something like a fatcat or a trail bike from the late 80s era . and OC is correct adam used to modify switches all the time and sell them as different part numbers and these parts were originally his so it could be from anything we know its from a bike with a single light, no electric start and no remote choke thats about all i got ..

Here is a harness from an 84 Big Red. The clear covers have seen better days but you can see similarities between the torn cover on the right and the cover on the mystery switch.. If I remember correctly the choke lever on the 84BR was on the dash. The start button I'm thinking was on the switch though...and the 84 switch design is not the same design/color as the 86 or newer switch in question..

I tend to agree with the earlier suggestion that this may be franken-wired switch designed by that adam hoover fella.. part Big Red / part 250R / part toaster. Even so the switch still has to work on a machine whose original switch is disco'ed otherwise hoovie wouldn't have spent the time on it.... Maybe if we had a look at the plug and wires that are behind the clear cover of the mystery switch it would provide a clue. How about a pic with the cover pulled back? Worst case you could easily reverse franken-wire it back to a 250R/350X switch..

Someone mentioned the price this guy is asking for these fine parts is too high eh?? Imagine what the price tags would read if I were selling this stuff! Think about that once.. Suddenly his prices aren't so bad..

To help shead some light on the switch Donzi posted, It is apparent someone has altered this switch to fit an unknown model ATV/ATC. I am certain that this switch was originally a 1986-87 ATC200X or 1985-86 ATC250R, it was just rewired to fit another model. I have attached 3 pictures below for reference, you can also rebuild a 1986-87 200X switch to new USING A 1985-86 ATC250R SWITCH . The housing for both 200X 250r are identical and all you may have to do is splice the original 200X headlight wire to the 250R. The first picture is a 1985-86 ATC250R switch, 2nd is Donzi's and the 3rd is a 1986-87 ATC200X switch.

I still have 12 sets of 350X radiator shrouds left and here is a link to the speedos, they are not specific to any year that I can find. I only have the speedos nothing else. If anyone is interested in buying the entire box I have it listed on Ebay now, they are Hondaline and I am asking $37.50 a speedo if someone buys the entire box of 12.

I promise you this will work and I willtry to post pictures, all you need is a used 1986-87 ATC200X switch and a new 1985-86 ATC250R, combine the two and there you have it. You may also want to check with "soilmec" Competion Powersports on eBay. I have bought one from them before and they are good at locating parts.

thanks, they are really nice, I was going to restore a 350X but now I am on a mission to find a 87 200X. The plastics are brand new just have a few shelf life scratches on them from sitting around for 25 years. We will see if someone is interested, you don't see that collection everyday!

Has anyone ever heard of a transaction like this, he agreed to buy the 350X complete set and this is how he wants to do the transaction? The other kicker is we have already done some business and he was very happy with the other parts. I really don't want to go to the post office 3 times for one transaction.

Sounds like you've been talking to my brother. He's not framiliar with paypal so he has me take care of that stuff. I'm not comfortable paypalling a gift. If this deal is going to happen it'll be a standard paypal payment. Also, since the parts will be shipped in a few boxes, I'll paypal you $*** to ship the tank first. Once that is recieved, I'll paypal you for the next box and so on. The total payment will be $**** ($**** for the parts, 150 for shipping).
