Welcome! :beer

Personally, I'd run any air cooled 2 stroke on the rich side, just not so bad that it's oozing out the silencer.

Post an ad in classifieds for a pipe; Usually if you have the cash, someone has the pipe you want.........

I run my 81, 32:1 and it works very good...has the 20:1 sticker but after reading some posts from some of these more experienced fellas I took their advice and like I said, runs like a dream...can't help you with the pipe, I build my own...

The 81 and the 82 are different but I think the 83-85 are similar, maybe 86/87 will have different mounting but should fit.

Any dirtbike/quad has good front resevoirs newer and cheaper........ :D

What part of the brake system isnt working? The 82 R should have a hydraulic front brake. If it is the master cylinder that isnt working, you can basically use a master cylinder from anything - motorcycle, another 3 wheeler, 4 wheeler, etc. If it is the line, you just replace it with new, and if it is the caliper, it can either be rebuilt, or replaced. Im not sure which ones swap with the 82 R. I know a lot of guys switch over to a 83-85 200x front end. It gets rid of the big tire, and replaces it with a skinnier one, it also gives you better braking (larger disc) and more suspension travel by a few inches. It takes away the old school look a little, by you gain nearly everything on the plus side. Good luck!

Awesome info! My front brakes are weak...the parts all "look" good but can't get them to pump up to bleed them...the little piston thing that the lever presses in and comes back out on its own is shot on mine...I didn't know you could swap reservoirs...I have a couple of parts quads laying out back, I'll try this out...thanks alot!
