View Full Version : How common are the 1986 honda big reds?

just wonderin cuz there is one 4 sale not too far from where i live...i know that 1987 was the last year of the trikes, just wondering if this was something special or they are pretty common.

even in the uk the 86 is fairly common,having said that i know a guy with 2 87's and even one guy who has an 88 :-)

I used the search key a month or so ago for
'trike production numbers'

Can't find my notes but I do remember the 87 models were around 4-5,000 made.

Not sure if that's worldwide or usa

If that listing is true and it has no terminal issues, it would easily go for 12-1500 on the west coast.

thanks guys....i guess its not rare after all...i would buy it but i really want a 250r trike or quad...been looking at a lt250r for 1500 bucks...thanks again.

I heard that the br and sx especially are the only sporty atc's with reverse so you can back out of blackberry bushes and mud .

True or not, reverse may or may not mean that much for your needs but it can be a consideration for offroaders as can the auto clutch option.

Just get one of each.
