View Full Version : Proper jetting for a piped 86 200x?

Hey guys I was wondering what the proper main jetting would be for my 86 200x with a full cobra exhaust. I think the stock main is 108 so maybe go to a 110 or 112? Also what type jets do the stock carbs take? Will the jets from my keihin FCR carbs work? Im away at work and havent had time to look for myself and would like to go ahead and order some main jets. Thanks

I'd bump it up 2 sizes but that might be a tad much.

Thanks for the info buddy that's what I needed to know. Those are the same jets I use in my FCR carbs.

Does ANYONE know the stock size main jet for a 86 200x ive searched google for a hour without any luck and need to get jets ordered today...

I think its a 108, but not completely sure.

looks like its going to be either a # 122 or a #112 for an '86
I think the 108 main is for a 84-85

Thanks for the info man! Looks like it was either a 122 or 112 but they moved the clip to a different position.. Looks like they did this for different altitudes.

I have a full dg exhaust and a UNI airfilter. I tried a 120, 125, and 130 main jet.
The 125 was the best for me. Play around with a a few sizes.
But if your running a full pipe and airfilter. You have to atleast go to a 120 in the main.
