So NOthing happens between an idle and full throttle?
It sometimes helps to know what model and engine etc but this sounds pretty straight forward.
If it's a regular misbehaving 4 stroke that usually runs pretty good, it could be a bad gas tank vent or plugged main jet.
Mouse nest in the air filter? or even the exhaust!!
Clogged fuel filter or tank valve screen plugged?
Has it been sitting long?
Any recent work done to it?
Did this start after someone borrowed it?
Maybe more info would help.
