Finally got a chance to take my trike out on some dirt. Been riding for 12 years and when I hopped on that thing it just felt so right. Wheelies, 2 wheelin', track riding, whoops, flat lake riding the whole 9 yards.
My trike seemed to like the high altitude better than where I live in southern Cali at about sea level. I used 32:1 and the trike seemed to just frickin love it. But i also discovered that the petcock leaks gas, so after I fix that, that will be basically every gasket replaced in the whole bike lol.... Anyways.
Finally summation, Trikes rule. Love my bike, but trikes are awesome.

Nice! I found that this petcock bolts right into place, and gives you a bit heavier duty unit over the stock one (thanks hang&rattle):

Oh sweet! Does that come with an o-ring too? Have you used that petcock before becase it looks pretty sweet! On mine it looks like the previous owner had problems with it leaking too and its kinda rigged up....Should have known. I swear I'm gonna go egg the previous owner's house. Took lousy care of a wonderful beast...

It's a yamaha 250 bigbear, same as the banshee and 400 bigbear, but less expensive and is the cats meow. The fuel line will be ran infront of the carb, but not as sharp as bends and more room for the fuel filter. My Tecate came from Pismo where it spent most of it's life. It now runs at 4700ft+. I'll admit, an airbox and cold weather really make it run smooth, or maybe the previous owner already had it tuned for it IDK. Mounted (bolts right up in 5 min., every things ready out of the box)-

Sweeeet, then i'll be ordering that in a few minutes :] And btw, if anyone was curious, the quadrunner engine seems to be running pretty sweet in the tecate. Still wish I had the KXT250 in it, but I'll take it :] If I ever total my dirt bike I'll take the engine out and transplant it into the trike hehehe >:]

It's a Quadracer. A Quadrunner engine would be not so good.

Looks good, Looks like fun... Got a close up of the light mount?...That looks pretty good on there too...I'm still trying to figure out a light mount that looks good and doesn't cost a fortune...

Ha, ha, I'm with ya there Jeepermc, have found other ways that look good, but whew!, close to $300, no way Jose'. Tried to get use to this way by dressing it up, but at least it's 'unique', lol! -

The previous owner of my trike had like OCD or something so he told me he had to center the light cuz it drove him crazy.

I don't like the off centered light mount either. It's gotta be centered, or there has to be another light.

That's just the stock light bucket cut off and rewelded in the center? My Tecate didn't come with a light, mount, or anything related to lighting...All I've got is the hot wire that the switch(also missing) plugs into I think. Even the mount on the rad guard is broken on mine...

I'm not sure if it's stock... But yea its just straight-up welded where it is... and its not even exactly decent welds but i guess it works :p

I'm gonna have to do some looking now and see if I can come up with anything similar to stick on mine...Might just have to make my own mount out of some round stock and use a aftermarket light mounted on a simple tab
