WOW!! good job dude! I think thats prolly the biggest trike jumping ive seen on youtube. Looks like you got all the jumps timed out just right too no case outs or anything. Keep up the good work.

I think he joined the forum here a few weeks ago and posted pics.

Definately some sick cahonays...Trike appears mostly stock.

Here I thought I was improving last weekend clearing a 40 foot table top..Then I see this and I am now back to worm status..LOL
Definately would be cool to see him hit some races here in Ohio.

simply having a track to practice with a trike would be cool.

Very good skills Sir. Awesome air! You look very comfy - ever not make one of those big ones when first trying?

Pretty sweet. You can see he knows at just what speed he needs to hit the doubles to land smoothly on the down ramp.

anyway, I thought it would be cool to post these because of a message from blacksheep (AKA Bill) a while back saying that the atc/trx250r is done. LOL, look what its doing with stock suspension. someone should get this guy to race.

"trying to get the nerve up to hit the big jumps" that first jump was monstrous. much props it looked great

And thats why a 250R isn't for beginners, look how easy he completed those leaps!!

Yeah, you can lug it around all day long but then why own one??

That guy is good at riding for sure, I dunno if I'd be trying those on a 250r haha.

factoryX

what do you mean by lugging it? Sorry.

what do you mean by lugging it? Sorry.

Essentionally, close to fouling plugs. Just staying easy on the throttle all day.

250R's like to be cleaned out, funny thing that he is probably 1/2 to 3/4 throttle on those jumps - or at least it sounds that way

ah, sorry for asking. He was barely tapping the gas, and it looks like the jumps are set up for it.

^^^ Right..I am gonna guess he is hard in 3rd gear on the pipe for those.Maybe 4th even.
These jumps are the ones I was talking about. It took me at least 20 hits to actually clear this table and it was 40 feet easy. And I have been racing and jumping for a few years.

I give this guy props that he is a talented rider..With way more guts than I have. I even have a built engine revalved shock and Progressives in the front.
I love to see guys on semi stock machines hit this stuff. It proves you dont need a 5K or more investment to do it..You need talent and experience.

all it really is, is a mental block. That image in the back of your head of you wrecking is quite convincing, isn't it?

It sure is!!! But when we were younger we didnt think of consequences. lol

At some point you either have to just go for it or wreck. Whats even more funny is that the trike brings out the image quite well.

hey guys, thanks for the comments on the videos!!!!!! I've been wanting to join the forum for a while and I finally got around to doing it. I'm about 1/2 throttle in 4th on the big double and tabletop. I hit them in 3rd on the 450r and 3rd on the cr500. I don't like hitting jumps pinned because if the nose ever drops I have more than enough throttle to bring the nose up. The trike is all stock, except for handlebars, grab bar, tires and fenders. It was really taken care of when I bought it and I've only ridden it when it was dry out . I've been very lucky, I've always made the jumps on the first try. I piled up 2 weeks ago on the big double with the 450r. Came around the berm and for some reason it jumped out of gear. I couldn't stop in time and flat landed between the jump. It was about like riding off the roof of your house. Only tore up the handlebars and knocked myself out for a minute(hand came up under my helmet and drilled my chin).

Thanks alot!!!! I really wished they would get a 3-wheeler class around here, I'm dying to race in one. Everybody has always told me that I was born a few years too late. I did race in a county fair race back in 06 with a bunch of quads. I pulled the holeshot, but couldn't slow down for the turn and started getting passed. I did do this step on-step off section that only a few pro riders were doing. I hope someone has a video of that, I'll start asking around.

I`m working on some flat-track here in KY if yer interested, Rray...I have to get ahold of the dude that does the arena TT in Greenville (muehlenberg county)...they had trikes running up till `06 and then trikes quit showing up apparently

already locked a class for trikes at a track in TN (my friend Tommy is the promoter)

me, you, spoon, and jeff57 need a Kentucky subforum on OTC like the NY guys

OTC did get an invite to Earlywine MX indoor mx series....thats in KY I think near Cinci

First off, I should have proof-read my above message better. The race was in '05, not 06, hit the wrong key. Sounds cool Chop! Is the Greenville track the one they hold indoors, I think it's in the agricultural building, I think that's what they call it. It's where they do horse rodeos and such. I think they are getting ready to start the indoor mx series soon there. I know a few people who I think have some pull there, it would be cool to get a trike class going.

yeah same one...Ag building arena....SUPER tight course...two lanes wide max with a one lane TT section in he middle

COLD (cuz they hafta leave the doors open.....and plan on gettin carbon monoxide poisoning a little as the air system is meant to evacuate horse farts...and a horse don`t fart as much as an ATV does so it`s HAZY like a mofo

Tommy`s flat track race had it`s first annual in october at Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville TN....he had prelim-ed a class for me and the boys to run our X`s but mechanical issues with two machines forced us out of contention...he promised another shot for us next race but I really need some more riders to commit...three is the minimum and two of the three of us were broke down....we have 200x`s setup (i`m in the market for an R air or liquid after Jan. 1st) to race and I would like enough cats to show interest so we can have a four-banger and a seperate pinger class (no sense runnin a 200x against an R in same class). I think between you three cats up there and I know a few from `Bama, Tenn, and the rest of the South, outside of who`s runnin the Fla. FT circuit, would be interested, we could make this a regular trike event. The OTC fellas have made great progress opening up Ohio to trike racing and I`m bound to make a race or two soon however, trying to race Ohio all season would be economically prohibitive so I`m trying to break into tracks here in KY and TN that I can get to in 3 hrs or less.

I also hit a flattrack race a couple weeks ago that`s a fifth mile and NICE as far as track surface.....very well prepped and smooth with a wide bluegroove...they mentioned they would be having TT races in the future as they have plenty of room....also has lights (outdoor track)....it`s Beaver Creek Raceway in Meridianville Alabama....hope to talk to the promoter/organizer next season when my buddy has his Honda bike running there...these guys are on their game and the heats were well-timed so there wasn`t more than 5 minutes in between races, camping available, nice facilities, food & drink on premises, good crowd too

I'm not sure where Calhoun is located but if you guys don't mind driving a few hours we're actually going be building a mx track here shortly....

Calhoun is about 15 miles south of Owensboro. I'm almost on the Mclean-Daviess Co. line. I definately don't mind driving a while to have a good ride! The place I used to ride at before they destroyed it was only 5 minutes away. All I have now is the track in my back yard. I also don't mind to help out with track design or building.

Cool, we're in Letcher county, about 20 minutes from VA. I'll let you know as soon as things are a little more concrete.
