You know what you're looking at now Mike, I hope it goes well for you. I have a feeling we'll be seeing this machine out at Bearbrook!

That the one in Rhode Island? Talked with the guy, he wanted $200 for the Supertrapp slip on. Fenders cracked? And if it's the $2000 one, seems high to me. Maybe I'm wrong though.

the one pictured is certainly not a 2000 dollar trike, $700.00 maybe. i hope it works out for you.

It's not $2000, I can say that. I know what he's looking to get for it and it doesn't seem too bad so far. I'm sure Mike will fill us in soon.

Well guys, here it is. Pick it apart and let me know what you think. And no it was not $2000 could not afford that much right now. I will say, I got it for half that though. I know it looks rough, but it just needs some TLC and some going through, but it is a good start for me, and I will say, "I LOVE IT!!!" What a ride!!!

Sorry to say it may but you paid way too much for that....What isn't rusted on that thing? I sold my pristine 350x with all original fenders and everything for $1300....

I say that you may have paid too much as the market for a really nice 350X is in the 1k-$1500 range. However, if it is worth a grand to you, who cares!?! I hope you enjoy it and have fun!

I agree, I bought a very nice original 85, that I would give an 8 out of 10 this summer for a grand. Good luck with the restore and keep us updated with pics

Both of those would be a $1750 here in Ontario easy, it's sad how three wheelers are so expensive. The guy we got the Duckster from said he wanted $550 for it, not running, new tires.

We'll help ya fix it up Mike, hopefully the motor is sound......

I think you had "ants in your pants" and there is no replacement for displacement!!

I'm sure you already know, it's no SX!

Hey yoyodude55 there was a 350x posted in timmins kijiji this morning for $1200. The only thing I saw was the seat was tore up some. If I wasn't 10 hours away I'd buy it.

Not all of them here are over priced but most are. I saw a guy who had three with lots of spare parts who wanted 3600 can't remember where though?

I saw the trike in person today and it does need some going through but I must say that once he started it, I knew he did OK. It started right up and runs like a swiss watch. That is key. The price of trikes has skyrocketed lately and Mike has been looking for an X for quite a few months now. Could he have done better? Yes, if he had waited for months and come across a really good deal. Mike is like me, and he is not going to wait. I usually end up paying high and selling low, but I get what I want. Mike did pay on the high end for this and had it been a rat motorwise he may have been had, but it runs so well that I think he did fine. How much is a good running 350X motor? I'm guessing about $500 at least, so he did OK considering what's out there right now.

I know Mike is looking for opinions from other enthusiasts, but I personally wouldn't listen too much to the guy with the golf cart that should probably get back to his proper forum.

Well I am going try to not come across as a dick, but these things are getting harder and harder to find. I live in the RUSTBELT, to find something that is rust free is almost impossible, unless it has been totally restored, and kept indoor since. I did not and could not have afforded to buy a completely restored machine. This machine is going to be good for what I want, and is to ride. I am not looking to win any beauty pageants with this machine.

I wanted a strong runner that I could spend a little money on to fix small issues that would fix some non funtioning items and that is it. I will take care of the machine, but it is not going to get a full restoration. It is going to get things that will make it better to ride and that is it.

Again, you all say I overpaid for this machine, but since they are getting harder and harder to find in the Northeast, I found what I could find, and purchased it for what I think is a fair price.

Thanks for the insight guys and I hope you can and will help me as I go through trying to get this machine very ridable. And if this response came across wrong to anyone I apologize. Fabio will tell ya, I am not the kind of guy that wants to make enemies or start fights.

As long as it runs good and you are happy with it who cares? You could have paid 5 grand for it, dont matter to me as long as you are happy.

One thing I will say, I have more fun on my old trike that looks like hell but runs great! That is a part of this sport is riding. Not everyone needs to have a mint condition trike, or powder coated frame, or perfect plastics and new tires to enjoy this addiction.

To me my trike is about getting out in nature, spending time with my family and havin a blast. Nothing more, nothing less.

In fact if I did have a "Mint" Condition trike I think I would have less fun. Would be too worried about cracking plastics, or rolling and bending handle bars etc.

oh and the 350? Looks sweet to me!!! Hell I wish I could find one like that for a g note here.....

Be one with the rust...ride it hard an most will fall off anyways. Shiny powdercoat and fresh plastic make a good show piece for the living room. The bigX was not intended to be a coffee table. If it stops running polish it up and park it in front of the TV...

You just can't find a 350X in some areas. If that trike was for sale in my area, I would have to race for it. GOOD BUY! Specially if you are happy.

Welcome to a three year old post fella's. How does a guy go back through thousands of post and randomly pick this one to reply to?
