Well i decided to tear it down and do a rebuild so i dont have to worry about it anymore. So if you guys would give me some suggestions on parts and what bore i should go with that would be great. As low budget minded as possible.

I suggest splitting the case's, if it's doable for you, and either get a new kicker assymbley, with good spring and gears, or have someone do the mod to the teeth(if you do this it will never need further work and can handle all the compression you may throw at it in the future)
For the top end, i always say buy a 83 xr200 top end and swap the entire thing. You get a bigger cam, a higher compression piston, and if you use the carb its larger too. The cheap way to do this, would be bore your cylinder .5 over stock, get a standard sized xr200 piston, then buy the cam. You do get larger cooling fin's with the x cylinder, so thats a plus.
With the bore, you only need to go far enough to clean it up. You won't notice a larger power gain(if you notice one at all) with it bored to the max.
Goodluck.

I too have a 200x in pieces.
What is the mod to the teeth of the starter gears? Is there a thread on here which details it?

This photo shows the mod done. It give the gears more of a hook that just teeth, so instead of the teeth sitting on each other, with this as you start to rotate it(kick it)it locks in harder. The pic is pretty self explanitory. If you want it done you should probably send it to someone, as they need to be pretty close and this hardened steel is pretty hard stuff to work with if you aren't experienced.
