sticky throttle

since the cold weather hit my throttle has been sticking, can anyone explain this to me , what can i do ?

Narrow it down, is it the thumb throttle pivot, the cable or the slide?? (probably not the slide)

You may have to remove the cable to figure out which is hanging up.......

Is it a crappy old cable?

Lube the cable, lube the throttle, maybe back off the thumb pivot nut a hair.

If the slide is sticking, I'd just stretch the spring.......

my buddys 85 200x had a sticky throttle today, a shot of lube down the cable and it was mint again

i had this happen sometimes in winter riding most of the time it was the cable just needed a little lube

its a newish carb twist throttle and cable and was fine until it got cold thanks guys
