well i finally got a chance to tear into this trike and get it ready to ride. things to fix, shut off switch, petcock , all the cables are original and need some work, rear caliper is froze , fork seals ned a little attention, adding a twist throttle, and a front brake line. just to name a few. i also added +4.5 to the swinger too. the perfect oring to go under the petcock too. it even has a part number on it, I got the tank all shined up and a new tire and wheel for the front too. going to be an exellent duner soon.

well after what 5 years? i think it was that long ago when cannondale parts hit ebay brake hoses masters and shocks,,, i stocked up.. and today i can say i installed my first piece of that stuff.. the front brake lines are PERFECT for the 250r. they look like they were made for it. so the front is ready. i pulled the petcock apart and its ready to rebuild. rear caliper is fresh with new seals and wipers.. its moving along pretty fast. recondition the rear axle and paint the swinger and i think this ones ready....

Nice lookin trike for sure .Are those petcock rebuild kits still avalible ? My trx is ready fo a rebuild . Guys the red honda tanks are the sooo easy to make look like that . For some reason that red plasic will come back to new with some elbow grease .I do't want ot get into the whole process I think there is a link here on 3ww on how to restore plastic . If you have more time than money do it yourself it is kinf of like polishing your car .If you have more money than time my brother will restore tanks for $75.00 bucks

the front brake line is off a parted out cannondale quad from years ago. i took a chance and bought a bunch of them . now i know they fit nice i will start changing them out on some of the other 250r's in the fleet.
as far as a pict with all,, NEVER... they are always watching, i have a fleet of trikes and quads and we will keep it at that.....

the petcock number is for the the 4 hole rubber and its a trx number. the part is not avalible for a atc,, funny?? anyway the oring is a cat number its a perfect fit, although you can get a plain old black oring to fit also.

ok i will post a few trikes just not enough to raise eyebrows of the wrong people,,,

SWINGER MOUNTED. man the little things take forever, i had to build a couple of shimms for the pipe spacer between the bearings in the carrier, it was like .100 short of the proper dimension. the bearings were in a pretty good bind . i could tell something was wrong just by pushing it in the garage. simple fix huh? here is a list so far of what i have done, new fork seals, front brake line, throttle cable, twist throttle, clutch cable, new clutch lever, new chain and sprockets, +4 swinger extention and a different rear spring, its a progressive rate spring too, rebuild the rear caliper, new brake pads in the rear, switched out the tank, rebuilt the petcock, oem front fender, new grips, new front wheel and different tire, LOL i hope it RUNS!!! hell i haven't even tried to start it,,,

Some very bad ass 70's. You can come up and hang out any time you want to ride the oregon dunes. Especially if you let me ride that missile bike

What motor is in the blue 70? I see that oil cooler that comes off the head and arcs over the frame. wtf is going on there?

KASEY

So , who`s gonna ride this one and why ? I can`t imagine you riding this with the 350pv layin around ! Just happened to have that red paint for the swinger ? Where do you find time ?

hell i can build these in my sleep!!! and yeah i had the red paint!! hell i built this yesterday waiting for the paint to dry!!! its the rear suspension for the "DE" +6 old school for an 85,,, very cool.
