I'll probably do that in the future, this mistake is going to cost me close to 300 bucks...
just got done taking the seat and everything apart, was hoping the seat pan was still good, but its not. found one on eBay with the mounts here in Oregon. also found someone on eBay that sells new maier plastics out of Newberg, so I'm hoping they'll both allow for pickup and save 50 bucks in shipping charges beings I'm going up that way in a couple weeks.

I did something like this before TF back in june. I had my fenders off and laying in the back of my truck so they wouldn't blow off, but I pulled them out to load something else in and forgot them, then, when I pulled my trailer forward.... CRUNCH... ran over my own fenders. Felt like a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro for sure....

I take a bungee and strap it over from peg to peg. I even load my bike on backwards with the ft tire facing the rear of the trailer. It takes a real Ahole to run something that big over even if it's in the middle of the road.

Bugler3's bro here. Loosing his fenders was a total bummer.
hang&rattle: Yes, Our dunes are pretty sweet. There is lots of different styles of riding of there. There are the tight technical trails, the big hill climbs, the beach (although there is a 25mph limit posted) plus the hole shots down in the trees, which can be a bit hairy on a 3 wheeler.

that sucks! about this time last year I lost a whole 200s off the back of the trailer doin about 60. I got about 3 miles down the road at a gas station to fill them up before I noticed! I found the trike with some kids all standing around it, it wasnt too pretty anymore. Now I strap them down like crazy.

I have heard about this happening but have never seen any proof until now. I always just throw a tie down strap over the seat to keep that from happening.

the worst I have ever had was having my ktm fall over on the 3 rail trailer, caught it pretty quick before any real damage or worse happened

That reminded me of the time Allen (syko) hit a possum in front of me and his trailer threw it over my van and it bounced off of my wifes ex. It knocked the rear fender right off. Lucky for us lonesometriz was behind us and picked em up. Crazy as hell seeing a spiraling possum fly over your windsheild at 65mph.

at first I thought you meant ex as in ex-husband or something. two questions came to mind "why were they with her ex" and "what was he doing riding on the trailer". Not necessarily in that order... but its midnight and I've been studying for finals tomorrow so I'm a little brain-fried.
