I was wondering if the 1998 CR85 parts are as valuable as the later models, most sell for a pretty penny for the fork tubes.
From what I gather a lot of 1997-2008? parts are the same??? I'd be getting a roller with fenders and seat.
Thanks a lot

1st of all they never made a cr85 in 1998...its a plain old cr80. 2nd they didnt make a cr85 until 2003. 3rdly yes parts are all the same from 96+ basicly. you might want to post it forsale on thumpertalk.com under the xr section cuz people like to put 100 and 200 xr motors in them.
other then that, parts are worth squat

Must be listed wrong in that case.
Would I be able to pull anywhere near these amounts?

I dont know if you can reach them prices. years ago n one wanted this stuff but i think guys are using cr80/85 forks on 250r swaps and the mini cycle guys prob are pissed prices going high. it sounds like you trying to make a buck, i dont blame u, i do it all the time but typicaly theres not much on a dirtbike thats worth alot. snoop around thumpertalk like i said and see if people itching to build mini thumper racers, i might be worth it, a clean set i say you should be able to bring 100 at min, there the money is, is if there its a entire tripple assembly axle etc.
