Well, a few months ago I acquired a 85 YTM200ER from a friend who rolled it down a hill. It needed some replacement parts and some TLC but I got it going and love it. Then a few weeks ago I got lucky and purchased a 85 200x. needs a few things but it's amazing. So to recap, no Trikes for 26 years then I bought 1, then 2 and now....

I found a running 85 350x! I was on the phone looking up a few part numbers for my 200x and the guy says to me "what the heck are you rebuilding? I have never had anyone ask for this stuff" I tell him about my 200x and he says "I have a 350x, it runs but it's a bit ruff around the edges, could use a brake job and what not. Had it 5 years and no time to ride or fix". I say well if you ever feel like selling it let me know. He says "sure, how about $100.00". I cover the phone, scream my head off, come back on the phone and calmly get the address. I pick it up tomorrow in the morning. This will be a very happy winter rebuilding my very 1st 350x!

Thanks for reading and caring, my fellow Trikers. Pics tomorrow.

Edit: Pics now up. I'll start a build thread once all the decisions are made.

Hope you get it!!!!!!!! The 350 is a blast to ride. My buddy is still nagging his cousin to let him buy his '86. The guy rode it for 1 season and went to the military, and it has sat in the barn since '88. We went and looked at it a while back and it still looks brand new!!!! The tools haven't even been removed once!!!!!

Update, I got it! It's an 85 in good shape. Needs a tank, or a good fix and a few other things but it's all good. Pic's in the morning, it's cold, dark and wet tonight. Yes, my life couldn't be better. Now to find myself a 250r......

Tear it down.
Take the engine to the shop.
12.5 compression piston
ALL new bearings including the rod
36 tooth rear sprocket
all new aftermarket plastic and tank
rebuilt brake mastercylinders and calipers with new pads
new wheel bearings front wheel and rear. (and maybe swingarm)
have fun with the swing arm bearings. :)

it ain't cheap,, but it's worth it.

ebay is your friend

You got it man. That's the plan. It is just being torn down right now. I'm going to mod her a bit to take all new brakes from something compatible. My buddy builds old Harley's so he'll do my motor up just right. Bore & hone with higher comp. Carb upgrade as well as exhaust. Cam and the works. She will be the Quad Killer, well where I ride it will be, trails are tight and the big boys go nowhere in a real hurry.
