I have a fuel leak. Anyone know if the on-off petcock is rebuildable? Or what can it be safely replaced with?
If it is the small petcock after the pump byt the boost bottle, you can omit that and just run a straight hose to the carb.
Turning your pump valve to the side, will shut the fuel flow off and keep the carb from flooding when parked.
But if your desire is to keep it stock, then there is no kits that I know of for the secondary valve. You could try to take it apart and match the seals, that is about it.

Ok, I bypassed the small on-off and now I have a leak from the fuel pump petcock. Also i think a bit of fuel is leaking from one of the carb hoses.
The fuel pump valve needs to be turned sideways once you eliminate the small valve when not in use. That will shut off most fuel flow to the carb. If left on, it will flood the carb and cylinder and cause fuel from the over flow tube on the carb.
Also there is a vent line for the tank. It runs all the way up the frame from the top rear of the tank. Many times they become pinched under the airbox or plastic and the pressure builds in the tank and the fuel forces its way through weak seals. So check that too.
On the pump, there is a bowl with a 10 mm hex nut cast into it. There is a rubber oring under that cap. They leak alot from there on a Z. Take it out, match up the O ring and then replace it, and put some teflon tape on the threads.
You will have to remove the fuel pump to fix that bowl seal, and pinch the feed lines off at the tank with vise grips, so your tank dont drain all over the floor.
