well to make a long story short, i was outside the other day cleaning out my garage and had my bikes outside sunning themselves. in the driveway pulls a big box truck, and the guy gets out and asks if he can take a look at my t3's. i say sure, it's always nice to meet a fellow triker and shoot the sh!t. so after talking abit about the t3's he sees my blaster sitting there, with the fenders off and stuff. asks me whats the deal with it, i tell him i need to get a new stator and change it out. well he says oh i got a complete motor sitting in my garage at home that has a broken case, your more then welcome to it if you want it. it has everything there for. cool!!! i jump on it, and tell him i will give him a call this weekend and come and grab it from him. so i call him yesterday, but our schedules didnt match up. no biggy. so i call him today, he says he is going to be home, come on up. well, with in ten minutes i am in the truck and headed to his house.
i pull in the long driveway and there is this huge garage. pull up to the garage, and the entry door is open and i notice when getting out of the truck, a what i thought was a 70.5 z28. already im like wow! as i walk in, i got a rise in my jeans and my jaw drops to the floor. he has quite the collection of classic american muscle in absolutely prestine condition. but thats not it. now i know the guy told me he had a 350x when we were chatting it up in my driveway, but i look to the right, and he has 1 atc70, sitting next to a very clean and nice looking 85 atc250r, sitting next to a very nice stock what i believe was 86 atc350x, next to another very sweet what i believe to be 86 atc350x, then 2 beautiful shape bigreds, and finally a mint condition totally stock 85 yamaha tri-z. wow!!!!!!!! ok, i looked at the cars, checked them out a bit, but was in awe of his bikes. then he says oh yeah i got that other r back there... i look and see another beautiful 85 or 86 black r sitting in the corner. we shoot the sh!t a bit more, and then he takes me into his house basement... let me tell you, i was in shock. there sits three more 350x's one has a 500 topend on it, one is totally custom with a sweet cpolor scheme of orange and white, another 250r that you could eat off of, 2 us90's as clean as the day they came off the assembly line, and an 84 200x that is all original and he says has extremely low hours on it. the thing was mint. well that was the best free parts i have ever got, i was speechless. the guy is a member on here, he did say he had pics of his collection up on here, but i have searched and couldnt find anything. hoping this doesnt cross any lines, but he said his screenname is 350xboy.
toby, thanks for letting me take a few minutes of your time to look over you collection man, it is amazing. and further more, thanks for the parts, you are a stand up guy in my book, and glad to know there is someone around my area that appreciates and likes trikes as much as me. hope we get to ride together sometime, and dfinately look forward to getting up on the lake and doing some laps.
sorry guys, no pics, but maybe you can do some searching and find the ones he said he had posted up on here. this made my day.
