Does anybody here know Dee Nelson AKA tundrawillie from Jemison Alabama

I am trying to get a hold of this guy if anybody has any contact with him let me know . I beleive he scammed me out of $400 worth of parts . He contacted me over a month ago now and wanted to know if I was willing to use his hydraulic hose services to make my ATC front brake hoses , said he has all the correct banjo ends and crimping machine and correct spec hose and said he could make my hoses way cheaper than the guy i was currentley using . Im always willing to try out new vendors to help keep my prices down for the buyer so me being as trustfull as i am agreed to send him out 2 brand new front brake hoses to use as a sample 1 350x and 1 250r front hose and because i had the special clear sheathing made and the silicone ends he wanted me to send out those so he could use them on the sample hoses for me , I talked to him several times on the phone seemed like a nice guy etc etc . so i sent them 2 complete new hoses and enough supplies to make 6 sample hoses for me so i can check the quality etc before i agreed to make a large order . sent everything out over 6 weeks ago and bam the guy dissapeared doesnt return emails I have called wont pick up the phone , this pisses me right off he has posted on here alot about making carbon fiber parts etc Im trying to find out if anyone else has heard from him . I was giving the guy the benefit of the doubt that maybe he got sick or hurt or something but I think he is an outright scammer and i fell for it . any info would be appreciated I want my stuff back grrr....

About the same time he joined here he was on facebook making freinds with any and everyone he could. I even clicked the OK button. So I see this and decide to look for you...guess what he's no longer on FB and all of his post's on the trike pages are gone. I though all he did was powdercoating and knew someone for carbon fiber. I could not see sending a frame or anything a thousand miles away to get done when I could go down the road and get the same thing cheaper. ALOT CHEAPER. On FB he was trying to pass off a TPC as his and I told him I didn't know Bill sold one to anyone in Alabama. After a few messages he told me it was a cool pic of a trike that he liked. I figured scammer and left it as that. I MAY BE WRONG but he's nowhere to be found now

yea I think my feeling it is a scam is correct . Its the entire principle of this that gets my blood boiling . I would do anything to help out anyone the best i could when it comes to 3 wheelers and for a guy to take advantage of that and come off as a friend is just un imaginable to me . this is how stupid this guy is the 3 wheeler community is real small we all know each other and watch he others back does this guy think he will be able to stay out of the radar forever he will pop is head up at some point and will have to deal with this all for what getting a couple of free brake hoses , what comes around goes around he will regret doing this real fast ..some people are just amazing //

Mike, I even called him out a month ago. He said he had front fender braces, brake line guides etc etc, yet never posted a picture OR a price! What type of salesman is that??

I wish you had checked his join date, I think it was just a couple months ago. In that case, he may have seen 1 hose to work on.....

I have seen this a couple of time recently. You guys really need to be more careful who you're sending money to. I won't send anything to anybody from this site unless they are an established member who has been on here for a few years and has something to lose. If they have nothing to lose, I just won't deal with them. They really don't care if they make a bad name for themselves because their whole profile was probably created just to skrew people. Myself and TecateDan had a kid recently trying to sell us both the same part. I messaged with him a couple of times and it quickly became clear to me that the kid was either not that bright or trying to pull a fast one. Then I talked to Dan only to find out he was messaging the same guy. I told Dan to be very careful. Dan suggested to the guy that he ship the part to us and then he would pay. The guy wouldn't do it, surprise surprise.

No I did check up on him and his join date was 2005 and he seemed pretty active in the forums as far as building short track tanks etc . I deal with all types of people everyday in business and generally I am pretty good at feeling out tire kickers and real people , I think this one got me though . hey its one of those life lessons like i tell my kids all people are not good ..(LOL) doesnt mean i cant email him and call everyday to remind him he has my stuff I get up early too everday that would be a great time to call and say Hi ..

I have him on Fb and just talked to him last week. He has my short track tank, shrouds. I've seen pics posted of him working on reproing them. I talked to him on the phone at length and got mailing address/phone #s and numerous ways to contact him before I sent stuff out. I don't think he is a scammer but I had another member PM me asking to get in contact with him also. I passed the message on and haven't heard anything yet. I just searched back through my phone calls (Which don't expire on my cell phone) all the way back to October 18th where I have # I just tried to send a text to and it said it was a land line. I will send him another message on FB with a link to this thread and try calling later this evening when I get home.

I have had a similar experience and posted in the feedback section. He had a set of tires off a 250R he put up for sale on this board. I sent him $60 for the tires via PayPal. I traded a couple of PM's and an email, but he has fallen off the planet for the last month and a half and I haven't heard a peep from him. I got a tip from another member to check with Billy, and Billy was gracious enough to ask about my tires (Thanks for the help! I do appreciate it). I guess I'll write this off to a fluke experience.

I'm very sorry that vintagemotorsports lost over $400 in parts. Makes my $60 seems pretty minor. I guess I'm mad the guy has dropped out of sight, and I wondered also if he got hurt or something that could put a person out of circulation (hadn't thought of jail; that's a good one). If anyone does successfully reach him, please let me know. I'd at least like the tires I paid for, or the money back if he's got an ounce of honor in him.

I sent him $105 October 5th for a grab bar and handle bars. I don't have it yet and been blaming it on the mail. It usually takes forever to get things here. Maybe he is sick, in trouble, or busy. that being said I would like my money or parts! I haven't tried contacting him but will soon. I have many friends driving by him all the time and will have one truck driver in the area after right after new years who I can get to stop and see if my parts or money still exist. I just hope it doesn't come to this, having to track people down. I hope my parts are in the mail or I get a refund or a reason why I don't have them yet. And I hope there is no hard feelings after reading any of these posts.

Hey Mike, My buddy found the banjo fittings in black. We found the correct hose, also. He's working up prices for you, but needs to know how many you might want to order. This way, he can order the exact amoutn of hose need for the quantity ordered and save you some $$$. You being exclusive on ebay is totally cool with me. I don't have an account with them anymore. I just want enough hoses to supply all my future builds. None of my buddies are into the retro 3 wheeler thing, so I'm flying solo on resto's and custom builds, but that's cool. I enjoy time spent in my shop working on these trikes. I know we talked about you sending a 350X and 250R hose in order for me to get exact measurements, correct black sleeve placement, etc. Is the shorter black sleeves a type of heat shrink? If so, that's fine, I have the heat gun to fit them. I worked for my buddy's dad years ago and made thousands of hydraulic hoses for industrial equipment. I can run that crimpmaster machine with my eyes closed. As far as pricing, My friend will make standard profit on just thematerials he orders (metric banjo's, hose). I'll actually make the hoses myself. Let me know if you've sent the hoses and/or silicone pieces and black sleeve materials. We can get the ball rolling. Having your hoses made by me will definitely increase your profit margins. If you feel the need for me to sign some sort of agreement guaranteeing I won't sell on ebay, I completely understand. This is sad. Then, in following the pattern of most scammers on internet forums, he'll post a couple weeks from now saying how he can't believe how everyone has jumped on the bashwagon, you guys are all biased jerks, I'll never try to help you again, etc etc. There'll be some sort of heartrending story as to why he didn't respond, in an attempt to incite feelings of guilt on everyone that called him out.
I've seen this happen so many times, it's almost comical at this point. I'm not saying it's comical members got ripped off, I'm saying it's funny how most thieves use the same stories and tactics.

What he did was wrong. No excuse, shoulda' contacted someone or had someone make contact if he was in the hospital, BUT, they label everything as 'depression'. I had a violent temper (they thought it was ADD or ADHD etc,. etc.) they medicated me for and defined it as 'depression' and a bad sickness (mental illness). So really guys, it is a debilitating deal. The doctor (because I was so embarrassed of my violent outrages) said 'no need to be embarrassed, its a sickness like any one else of them.' The chit they gave me actually corrected a 30 year chemical imbalance I had in my brain and found out all I needed to be nice, (ya, right, lol!) was high doses of vitamin B. 30 years of misdiagnosis, and now I am even raising kids and building 3-wheelers, who'da thunk it? So get well Willie, get yourself fixed and make things right bud.

I think, undoubtedly, this guy is a scammer. Even though he was "Clinically depressed," that is much better than admitting to being a thieving lier. And he "no longer has an account with ebay?" wtf?? if this guy has so much talent to be producing things such as cf tanks, finding all kind of OEM scores, and god knows what else he has said he can make, He would be rich. You would be crazy NOT to use ebay. OBVIOUSLY he has delt with them, and they were tired of dealing with him. Unfortunately, this is becoming more and more common.
Just this weekend, I talked to some guys.
One guy bought a "supposedly" decent 86 T-3 from out west for $3600..Once he got it home, it didn't run and all the plastic was hit..missing parts etc..sounds more like a $500 trike to me.
Then another story surfaced that another guy bought a T-3 from the same guy and got ripped for $7500 and never got the trike, or there was a lawsuit involved. The seller hid behind a front of business and could not be tracked down.
I have some info on the seller..so I can at least watch and see if he starts scamming on here..

I tend to only deal with companies or people I know.
If a guy does not even take the time to set-up a simple website..I dont even bother with buying from them.

Your right it is becoming very common to be lied to and people not paying , its getting that bad out there and you are seeing good people turning kind of evil just to get ahead in this economy . I do excavating and bobcat type work also for work and i am waiting right now for at least 5 jobs to be squared up on one of them goes back to sept all because of me being a nice guy and saying I will just bill you after the job is done . I have heard every excuse in the book about why they cant come up with the money etc, maybe should have throught about that before you hire someone to do work for you . My father in law is a seargent on a local police dept he said you wont beleive the stuff he is seeing as far as people stealing stuff out of yards parked cars etc , we never had that problem around here . we all need to just watch each others backs and take an extra minute to make sure a guy selling is legit and his track record is clean , learned my lesson .

I've been watching this thread and shaking my head ever since. I've been a victim of theft too. From a member of these boards. Weather intentional, or just greed i don't know. But a cylinder and head of mine were taken from the property of the legend Ronnie Hopkins after his unfortunate death. This, after conversations with involved people assured me that i would get my stuff back after things settled down. This has been discussed and there seems to be an agreement on who commondered my stuff. Enough time has passed and i've been very nice about it. This person DOES NOT live in Florida. 7 guy finally comes clean and refunds the buyer ? 25 Bucks?

You should have kept reading. What happens is the kid finally sends the guy his parts, but then the guy refuses to except even though he had told the kid to send them. Then the kid sends the guy his money back($115) via a Western Union money order. Then the guy can't figure out how to cash the check. The End.

People I can understand your frustration but keep in mind that threatening physical bodily harm is never going to resolve anything, its illegal, and its only going to complicate a already bad relationship with the person who your dealing with. The best way is to communicate in a reasonable manner as some of you have to encourage a better outcome. Adding fuel to the fire never helped extinguish the flames! If it is true and this is actually a 15 year old, (which I seem to doubt), and contact is made with the parents even if he's 18 or under the mention of legal action will help resolve the issue as no parent(s) wants their credit tarnished by a judgement against them and would rather clear up the situation. Bill got a response, look how he handled it and use that as an example. I have been burned for thousands and it hurts no matter what your financial situation, mine isn't good due to medical issues but I keep moving forward. I hope all of you receive a refund and this works out best for everyone!!!

Yes, to a label I paid and emailed to him in a PDF file. Dee said he was out of ink but that he was printing it off elsewhere and he had it taped on a box. I emailed it to him same day so he had it a little while before it got dropped off at a UPS store but it should be back here tomorrow according to the tracking.

BUT,,when he wanted a Shorttrack tank to replicate,,I offered one of mine,,he declined,,said Billie had sent him one.!! it's the truth. I've been wondering how he made out with that project,,now I know! I've had a local member on here steal from me. I'm out a ALT 50. it hurts alot. Not too much longer. I did get my stuff back, and while I had to make a label and email it to him, I got it back. So that shows a willingness to try at least to a certain extent.

He also still has me on Facebook, and hasn't blocked me yet. I send some reminder messages occasionally, the last one he replied to saying when he got his tax return he'd make good on everything. I figure its worth a shot rather than just nuking his account and everyone forgetting about it? Thats my theory anyways.

So I sent him both paypal and an address for snail mail, and told him not to worry about the tires -- I just wanted the refund. It wasn't a large chunk of $'s and it hasn't shown up still (so many months now...), so I think this guy is done with any effort to square up his commitments.

We ban IP addresses as well. Normally takes care of them. We also have many other methods / tools that we can and do use as well.

Just an FYI, I did go ahead and ban him. He says that he had Mikes address and would send that stuff back but he didn't have anyone elses because they were in his PM box, I told him that if Mike got his stuff back I'd release the ban long enough for him to get everyone elses contact info but at this point I'm not holding my breath.

Well Boys you wont beleive what showed up in the mail saturday ?? my original box i sent to Dee nelson what feels like years ago with every single part i sent him , just as I sent it to him . To be honest I had long written this stuff off and have not had contact with this guy for months . I dont know what happened but I am glad he manned up and did the right thing. He wanted me to tell everyone else he owes parts back to send him an email with there address and he will send them back. He has a bann on this forum so he cant communicate through the PMs etc, maybe billy will lift the ban so he can do what he needs to . I have learned a big lesson with this guy and its sad that from now on I have to be second guessing everyone I deal with it just should not be that way . I put alot of trust in the people I do business with as they put alot of trust in me as well. Glad this all worked out in the end Hope every body else gets the same results.
