Pretty sure you can just add a set of 300EX/400EX/450R rear hubs to your 84R to get it a few inchs wider.

Will the spines from a 400ex rear hubs work on this axle ? I have heard something about this but never really looked into it, Has anyone used this app. yet ?
Thanks

Not sure about the hubs, but good luck finding an aftermarket swingarm for an 83 or 84 R. They are extremely hard to find for some reason.

durablue makes a extended axle for the 83 and 84 250r but new its pricey.. there site lists it at 530 bucks.. durrablue and g force make good spacers for the hondas..

I'm pretty sure 400ex hubs will fit right on. They are 3/4 inch wider than stock so they will give your trike a 1 1/2" wider stance.

well i know that i had 400ex hubs on my 200x and they worked. but then the other day i tried putting stock 200x hubs on my 85 250r axle and they were too little. so i dont think 400ex hubs will work. i wish they did myself

The 85 axles have different splines than the aircoolers, that is why the 400ex hubs dont work on the 85 R.

i thought that the 84 250r splines were the same splines as an 85 250r? In fact i know they are. im running a set of 84s on my 85 now
