My friend was riding his wheeler, and his chain flew off and cut a hole into the casing, about the size of a dime .we were wondering if there was a quick fix (besides welding) that could be used. the hold is probably too big for JB weld, so is there anything else out there like JB weld that could be used???

My bro used JB weld on the block of my old SX after a rock went through it. And the hole was definately bigger than a dime. Its still holding up today...probably 10 years later.

What kind of wheeler??? The 350X has a dead space right where the chain knocks a hole in the case. If that is the case, you ha,ve to do nothing. I know this because I pulled my sidecase off to fix it, and ju st put it back on.

I put JB Weld on a Honda 125 trike where the cahin came off and it is still holding. I coud stick my whole thumb into that hole. Just make sure to do it in coats. If it is too thick the center will take forever to dry.

ok thanks everybody it was on his quadsport, we'll probably use jb weld, but isnt it a little bit thin and it'll just flow into the hole?

JB a piece of sheet metal cut to size and cover the hole with it. Don't try to use just the adhesive.
