does anyone know of another seat that will work on a first gen 250R (like a 200x of newer 250R seat)? My seat pan is toast.

I had a 84 200x seat and fenders on my 83 R when i was a kid. The fenders dont line up good with the tank but the seat was fine.

Someone posted a members site a few weeks ago who made reproduction seats. Have a search around. I would buy the new one. Its easier than making something fit that dont. I tried a 85 200x on my 81r and it was ugly as sin fit.

This guy was out of Australia and the shipping made it practically unfeasible for us.

Ah. I still think I would buy one from him. I paid alot for my pan and still had to fix certain areas. I live in Canada so I am use to expensive shipping aswell. Perhaps if a few people bought them the shipping combined wouldnt hurt as much.
Just an idea.

They haven't made a trike in 25 plus years, WTF do you expect to pay for a seat pan??

Choose another sport (anyone that doesn't like prices) or suck it up; Nothing more we can do...........

The newer R seat is definitely on your machine. Rocking? Far from it...

I found a seat pan for $35. It needs to be sandblasted and painted it but i have seen people try to sell them for $200 so i think i did quite well.

Yes man you did good. Lay a bit of cloth on it. Resin it up. I usually use marine gel for fibreglassing. Go thin with the coats and your seat will last you a life time.
