I had a yamaha 125 2-stroker back in my youth and I'm currently 40 years old. I've always wanted a 250R honda and I "finally" obtained one. I traded my 37" HDTV and $100 bucks for it, so basically I paid $600 for a good running 84 250R.. Anyhow it took about a day of riding and I allready crave more power! I grew up drag racing kawasaki H1 and H2 triples so I love motorcycles as well!! I currently have a 1977 moto guzzi lemans not nearly as deadly as the triples but I kinda like it more then the blue H2 I once owned. I also have a 1978 GS1000 Suzuki, I love the vintage stuff!
Anyhow back to the 250R.. I have a few questions in regards to modifications. I don't want to go crazy but I do want to eventually freshen the top end (bore & pistons), DG exhaust system, add those boyesen rad reeds, new clutch and basically completely restore it cosmetically. I was wondering what modifications ya'all would suggest and can I use a larger carb on it and what would be best? I still want it to be dependable but I also want it to scare the living trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro out of me :naughty:... Sure is a good thing I didn't own one of these when I was 16... thanks all....
