Hey guys, I have a Yamaha 3wheeler, I believe it is an '85 model but i'm not sure. I'm at work right now so I can't look at the serial number, and to be honest I don't know where to find that either. Here's what I know.

1. shaft drive

2. 200cc

3. Electric start/recoil backup

4. No reverse

I'm interested in restoring it, especially the plastic, any ideas would be appreciated. Also can I still buy parts for this machine and where?

Sounds like a Yamaha YTM 200E (Yamaha Tri-Moto)

It is a yamaha YTM 200E. They made them in 1983 and 1984.

i think yamaha put the serial #'s on left side (as you sit on the machine)
down by the shifter on the bottom frame tube.
there are alot better quilfied yamaha folks here that just haven't read this yet but that is where i'd start looking for numbers.

its probably a YTM200 it is a rare model that u r describing,and it was made from 83-85,and to correct Jeswinehart,the vin tag should be on the gooseneck(right behind the headlight) it is the VERY FRONT of the frame where your steering is,good luck
