Anybody interested in a get together in the Houston, TX area? There are many properties around that are trike/quad friendly... San Jacinto river bottom is one, and I know several property owners around Huntsville, Waller, North Zulch, Bedias, Madisonville and Centerville that might be willing to have their Oat-patches torn up to get rid of the weeds! I am thinking March/April...Any Interest?
Just in the wondering stages. It could be just a cool/chill out session/BBQ/Beer event, or... An event to remember?
I know a few event organizers who might show some interest if enough people respond...

Tell your fellow trikers! There is a place I am going to check out soon in the San Jacinto river bottom below Lake Houston that is an existing Moto-X park. Family friendly is great. I will also check into camping in the area. Interested?
Is anybody interested?????

I live in Dayton , Tx about 30 minutes from the san jacinto river . That place is always tore up and you will need a 4x4 there to have a good time . Plus there is alot of trouble down there with people with guns . I heard that somebody got shot down there about 1/2 year ago . This is not a very good place to ride with out somebody pulling a gun and takeing your ride or robbing you .

hey im in.im not gonna go to spring creek cause theres a bunch of kids and its sand and water, and i dont think anybody runs an airbox to keep water out.if yall are talking about san jacinto river bottom under the bridge umm whats that road 242 it comes from porter and comes out at 45 and the woodlands at 242 college park.yea if thats it your gonna need a four wheel drive.alto shiloh ridge is cool but pretty far, there is another one around huntsville called the general,i havent been yet.but i heard its got a little of everything mud pits trails probably some sandy spots to kick back and then theres the place where quads and everything race back and fourth.which would be pretty cool to see some old trikes running some new tecnology.
years ago some dudes did get murdered at spring creek in the middle of the night, over some beer, that was a sad deal there.and scary,it could happen to anyone.i will definately watch this thread, and be thinking of a spot.im thinking the general in huntsville cause its a park, and you dont have to worry about getting shot or murdered.haha yea just one less worry,ya know.haha

YEa, I heard Spring Creek was awesome! too bad they shut it down. I heard this place in splendora is really good. Here is the info:
Creekside Edge is a 350 acre ATV park in the shade of the pines of Splendora, with 2 running creeks, miles of improved and raw ATV trails,(mainly dry), along with 2 groomed MX tracks that allow sport ATV's. The park is about 15 miles north of Humble on US 59, East River Road exit, west side of the freeway, next to the BIG BILLBOARD.
The half wooded site has
permanent restroom and shower facilities
plenty of parking for RV's (with future hookups)
very primitive camping.
The ATV trails run the length of the property and around the perimeter, through the creek and the woods, with new trails being added all the time. There is a wide, running creek to "wallow" in near the middle of the site, and some improved roads for the fast and furious to air out their machines. There are plenty of places to ride both sport and 4X4 ATV's, and lots of open spaces for beginners and kids.
The park is open from Thursday - Sunday from 9am...$15 per rider. There are gas stations and fast food joints just 1 mile away.

Sounds really good for a family event. When is the plan to hold this event? I would like it to be slightly cold, but not freezing, and not too hot.

Ive been to Creekside Edge, their website makes it sound a lot more impressive then it is,the pics on their website of the camping area are FAKE! Ive never seen a single camper there.Last time I went{about 3 months ago}the trails werent being kept up,bathroom facilities suck. This place I think is mostly for 4 wheelers to get muddy, except for the motocross track for dirtbikes.
Its been a while since Ive been to Gen Sams in Huntsville, but from what I remember they had the best bathrooms of any place Ive been to,but I dont remember anything about the camping area.Soggy Bottom in Bryan had the best camping spots, but I think they only had port a potties and the showers were pretty nasty.I guess if you have a camper with shower and a bathroom you dont need to worry about that stuff,I only have a pop up so I do :)

wow i havent been to the humble and kingwood area or anywhere off 59 north in years.way before they had a park, humm,as for general sam i havent been there if and when we do go im just going for the day so i dont need to camp, but for those that doits definately important for a nice camp area.i would really like to do this.that is if anyone is going to show up.i dont have anywhere to be on the weekends so i can be there.oh i know one place to not go to is that place over by the highlands i dont remember the name but its all muddy and jacked up from four wheelers going thru the mud,it sucked bad.the general is 705 acres so im sure it offers a little of everything.thats what we need.sounds like a smaller shiloh ridge to me,shiloh has a thousand plus acres of all kinds of terrains but its really far.i used to hang out there all the time and it brings back bad memories from a bunch of sorry arse so called friends that stabbed me in the back.

dude! i haven't been here in a while, and look what i almost missed out on! im in the woodlands and am down to ride anytime! spring creek was about 10 minutes from my place... i was there alot! i cried when they shut the gates for good. so we've got san jacinto river/crosby, general sams, and creekside. i've heard all the same stories about sanjac/crosby, i even used to wheel out there in my samurai when i was in high school, haven't been back since. it doesn't sound like i'm missing much anyways. as for general sams, i've been there quite a few times in my samurai and on my trikes. it's boring as hell in my samurai, much funner on the trikes. it was much nicer back in its earlier days, but it's quite torn up now. i just went to creekside in splendora for the first time last weekend and went back just today. it's not much to woo over, but it is more enjoyable that general sams in my opinion. they have two tracks, one for dirtbikes only which is kept up and another for everyone to ride on that is not kept up.

they do seem to be doing some work out there. i noticed a bunch of dirt has been moved around since my last time there which was only a week ago. they're having a muddy gras this year as well, i think there should be some info on their website for that... i will probably end up going to it to check it out.

Well, I think we should first decide on the location. Let's take a vote and see which location gets the most votes. This way, we can begin planning the event and know how many people are going. Even if we are just going to meet up and ride around. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Send in your votes.

I am in, I ride at Crosby just about every weekend. That place will seperate the men from the boys on a three wheeler. If you catch it when it's dry, the three wheelers are a blast in all that sand. Especially around big lake and under the bridge. Just let me know when and where and I'll be there.

I will possibly be out there sunday. it just kinda depends on if i have to ship the 200x or they are local. The auction ends on saturday. If i go, i will be on the outlaw. I will post up tomorrow evening if i am going, where we park, what time, etc etc so that you can easily find us. With our group, if you ride red and drink beer they love you.

damn that sucks, hope you got what you wanted out of the 200x,now hopefully your tricky dick will get some good money to help pay for your repairs
i think the outlaw is going to get parted. Parts are too expensive for it and its a bit heavy. the 250r was just pieced together a few days ago. I had a bunch of parts i was going to sale, but decided to put a trike together.
I got what i felt the 200x was worth. Bidding on the Cagiva is what i paid for it including the shipping price. So it is not like i lost anything. I really didnt need to sale either since i did well on the dirt bikes. But i said i was, so i am. I am back on the waiting list for the Canam Commander, i think that may be my main play toy.

Creekside sucks IMO,its not for trikes, for 4 wheelers and mud it would be fine, but its not a place I would want to go.My vote would be for http://www.mudbuddys.com/ or http://www.soggybottomatvranch.com/
Soggy B has a better camping area but Mudbuddys has better trails IMO.Soggy Bottom has a swimming lake in the middle of it.Mudbuddys has small cabins to rent if you dont have a camper.Mudbuddys has better bathrooms and showers. Each has its good and bad points.
Its been along time since Ive been to General Sams but from what I remember its more for 4 wheelers and mud

I know Texans don't like government, but pretty much every piece of government land in Missouri has a trail running through it.. They may not all be legal trails though..
So I bet land must cost a lot of money down there? Any glad you guys have some places to go and ride.
