Pit bike motor in a 70... intake woes

I need some advice... maybe some of you 70 guys can chime in. The 110cc pit bike I took this motor out of was a chopper with lots of room between the motor and frame... not the case with a 70. Every intake I have tried won't fit. I have to make it face forward(like it was in the pit bike) because the starter is in the way... the '82 110 intake is too close to the front fender and I can't put a pod filter on it, and the factory Chinese intake is too tall. Any ideas? Maybe there is an intake that bends to one side? Where can I get one if it exists?

I have the fix for you pal... I did a atc 70 with a 125cc lifan swap now what you need to do is cut the bottom flange off the intake and take about a 1/4 off the elbow then go to a welder and have it tig welded and then hit it with some paint. if you need I will take a few pics and post them on my album it seems like everyone seems to be having that problem mounting aftermarket engines.. it willn't cause a running issue and you can rotate it to what ever position you want just make sure you go to a good welder not billy bobs back woods welding..

I made/helped make a small angled adapter plate for another board member who lives near by for his Lifen (sp?) motor adapted into a 70.
It took us several angle cuts to get what he wanted but finally got it.
We left the black plastic piece in there because it acts as a heat sink, to absorb heat from the motor and not allow it (the heat) to pass up stream to the carb.

you can go on ebay and buy a price that allows you to angle the carb in nearly any direction for about $18
