Hi;

I'm new to the board. What fun. I had honda trail 70s in the 1970s when i was a kid. Recently picked up a 1981 atc 110 on a lark. I'm now looking for a big red for farm chores.

My 110 has a new replacement gas tank. It was put on before i got the 110. anyway, i was wondering if there was any chance it might fit a 1985 250 big red?

Thanks;
Rob

I doubt it is.

The big red tank would hit the forks/bars, and reach back to where you sit.The 250ex/Big Red tanks are fairly valuable for one that isn't full of rust and/or holes. But plastic ones are sold.

EDIT - Read it wrong, my bad. You can maybe make the little 110 work, but it will not fit well. It's like half the size, and like rldsz said, two outlets. maybe try plugging one, but it will essentially look the same as using a lawnmower tank if you put the small 110 tank on a Big Red.

You might be able to make it work on the Big Red, but it is not like it will be a direct fit. The 110 also has 2 outlets for gas and no petcock on the tank, which would not work out for the Big Red as its carb is only expecting 1 inlet to the carb. I guess you could block off 1 of the outlets on the tank.
