Maybe the throttle and clutch on the same side wasn't a good idea.. I realize why you did it.. just sayin..

i found a bolt under the plastic cover on the carb that wasent supost to be there that was deffinatly the probem
and the reason the throttle and the cluth are on the same side is right now i only have one usable arm

ATVPartsdepot has MAIER 350X fenders for about 135$ and 10$ to ship.
Maier is just fine by me :D....................

Well aside from having one usable arm, how did you make out Joseph ?
Obviously alive, but how banged up did you get from that crash ?
Looks like the X took one heck of a tumble to me.

I've got a Maier front fender (red) in near perfect shape as I'm replacing it with an OEM one. $20. PM me if interested. Also I have a set of OEM rear but the seat area has been cut out to be frankensteined with the seat area of a 200x, but I think shipping to CA wouldn't be worth it and I'm not sure of the fate of the 200x that it currently belongs to yet. I have no idea what it would cost to ship just the front fender to you, if you had someone in WA that I could ship it to and you could pick it up from there would save you customs fees.

Give your arm and that trike a break. Get the trike running smooth, with some brakes. By the time you get all that done your arm should be good to ride again.

heres a little tip next time pull the clutch when the throttle sticks then the kill switch, you may pop a motor but thats cheap compared to that mess, most of us who have been into motorized things have had a throttle stick at some point but knowing what to do is what makes a rider.
i hope you will be ok but before you ride the x again get it into good shape, brakes and such.

i didnt even have the chance but ill have every thing but the plastics done before i ride it again

I was going to mention the kill switch but if you look at the handlebars all the controls are gone, minus the clutch and gas. Pull the spark plug boot quick in a moment of fury. But I hope everything goes good for you and the trike.

I think you need a lot more before plastics.....first you need some common sense because it as it is right now you don't seem to have much of it....After that I'd suggest fixing everything else like the throttle, clutch, FRONT BRAKES, triple clamp, carb, forks, etc.....Plastics should really be at the end of your to do list.

Haha, I've owned plenty of trikes, and when did I say you needed to buy new forks? I said FIX the fork problem as in replace them with the ones you have.

prolly get the good stuff up there in BC!! and awsome boarding too boot. Good luck on the x looks like it needs alittle tlc. one armed riding doesnt display allthat much common sense. It is a 350x after all!!! thats prob why your catching some flack!! Gotta have brakes on a 350x!! Must have been quite a crash.

You look like a new candidate for Edog and Hoosier's old position. Keep up the good work!
And don't worry about what these guys say, those front brakes are overrated anyways. Make sure to add plenty of pics to the rebuild!

I'm sorry, but all that shows is incompetence and ignorance and the OP isn't too far behind.
To the OP, IDT he meant that plastic was the ONLY thing you'd rig up, it seems as if you'd rid up anything just to ride it which isn't too popular around here and makes us look bad as a group.
If it's not safe, don't ride it; whether it's no brakes or anything else that compromises safety.
You guys wanna run a functional but beat/bent up trike, that is your own choice and rightfully so. Otherwise, don't ride them..........

Probably be better to encourage the OP than to post negative comments. We have all made mistakes and hopefully learn as we go. Safety is a major concern here for a lot of reasons. BCredneck, fix it the right way for safety, you will feel better knowing things are right and be able to control it if something goes wrong. Hope you find what you need. Have fun, be safe, and use this as experience.

I went to the dunes yesterday and discovered (in the middle of the dunes) that when I had put my rear caliper back on after changing the brake pads that it wasn't on the pin, just held on with the bolt. They still kinda worked, and I still had front brakes, but it got a little hairy at times. I ave a cousin that tends to have the "it'll be fine" mentality and needless to say everything he owns is a pile but its mostly cause he's cheap and won't spend the money to fix something the right way. You guys are being a little hard on BC IMO, we've all done stupid stuff. He seems he's learned the lesson

I'll say this. BCredneck lives in my town and I know him. Yes, he is very reckless (at times, it's a youth thing) but he makes them run, well. He's one of those dudes who can take a bucket of parts that should never go together and make a functioning ride. BUT, like a lot of people in his age group (no offence meant, I was the same), a bit impatient and just wanted to enjoy his ride. I agree riding a monster like a 350x without brakes and with a incorrect front end is a bit much but he's the dude to make it work. Too bad about the trike and all but he's no fool, just young.
My 2 cents.
Although I agree with the people here. Relax, be patient and build it right. This is no little ride. It's a 350x, treat her with respect.
