I would like to put one on my 86 ATC 250R. Was wondering if everything work good and if I could rely on temp gauge instead of putting on a inline gauge. The MPH and RPM would be nice to keep track of. I no there will be some fabing to do to get it all mounted on the bars. Any input would be great.

I just put one on my 450 trike. It is super easy to install. out of curiosity - why don't you wanna put the inline temp gauge in the rad hose? it seems a very good thing to have.

It comes with a mount that fit right on my bars. Comes with 7/8" mount and 1 1/4" fat bar mount.

Picked one up for the wife's quad, haven't installed it yet but if it works well I'd put one on the R for sure.

I thought the vapor tell coolant temp? Or should I not trust the vapor temp reading and still put in a ESR type gauge

mine had a temp unit on it ,you will need to cut the rad hose and it installs with 2 hose clamps, and i think you can set hot temp light that will flash red when its gets too hot, well worth the $$$$

yes - inline coolant hose gauge. For those non water cooled bikes - there is a ring that goes under your spark plug for motor temp.
