Hi guys. I just sold my Z-400 and bought a 350x since we all know :TrikesOwn
The trike is supposed to have a high compression piston and Web cams.
I'm going to be replacing this carb with a 37mm FCR.

It has a twist throttle on it now, but I want to go back to a thumb throttle. Is there any quad throttle/throttle cable combo that I can use?
Also, when I make the carb swap, will the airbox tube that goes from the left side of the airbox to the frame still be able to be used? It has a Clarke fuel tank, btw if that matters.
Last question. I'm wondering what needs done for an intake.
Thanks guys! :beer

I don't own a 350X, but I thought I remembered reading on a post that some guys were put Honda 400EX carbs on the 350X. You could use the whole setup off that quad. Not sure on the airbox situation. You could always hook up a UNI filter. Post more pics!!

I have a 400ex carburetor on my 350x. I had to melt down that left tube you are talking about to make it fit. I'm guessing that you may have to modify that tube to allow the new carburetor to fit correctly.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try to get some pics and stuff as it goes back together. Hopefully there will be some parts for the weekend.

Sorry about the dirt on the 350. I just HAD to ride it once I got it home before I took pics.
Here are a couple more pics of the 350x and one of the '81. I don't have any pics of the 140 powered 70 or the bone stock '86ES yet.

Thanks, but the 81 is going through another little makeover. I found a Durablue axle for it and the Works shock is going back on it. The original 1st gen triples are getting bored for second gen forks and its going to get a 6" wide wheel on it with a fat front tire. Hopefully it will look cool.

The snorkel tube should clear a 400ex carb, but will not clear a FCR carb. The 06 and newer trx450 cable and throttle will be a good setup. or the YFZ systems. They use FCR's stock.

UPDATE:
Started checking the manual for stuff and noticed that someone has written in 84 x 72 so I think its 3mm over and stroked 4mm.
Well, I now have the carb on and it has fired. I'm still waiting on a throttle cable.
There is a new issue though. The X didn't have a decompression cable on it. I got one and hooked it up. It finally kicked over like it should. After 3 or 4 kicks it started but it dies once I let the kicker come back up. This happens every time I start it. What is jacked up with the decomp cable? Do I need to take the clutch cover off and check to make sure things are lined up inside?
