Halogen Bulb for 85 Tecate Headlight??

Somebody told me you can run a standard halogen bulb in place of the stock bulb... Has anyone done this?? Does anyone know what the number of the bulb they use is?? :D:D:D

You can, I don't remember the number though, But I took the old one with me to Autozone and just matched up the base, I think the bulb itself was 45/60watt, and it has worked fine with no problems, just make sure you have the headlight sealed up as water will shatter the bulb if it gets wet as the halogens run quite a bit hotter than the conventional stock bulb
