A long time buddy of mine has a powder coating business and when I recently stopped at his house to pick up some stuff he coated for me, he let me take some pics of his pride and joy. Now I've seen this many times, but it hasn't been seen by anyone but family and a few friends for almost 20 years. It's sitting in his basement now. He used to run flat track nationals back in 85-86 and this was his national trike. At one time he even converted it to an XC trike and ran it in the toughest race in America, the Blackwater 100. There's a few rare items on this thing, anybody care to guess what they are?

Nice machine. At first I thought you were talking about the 70...haha

I see a flat track tank and shrouds which are pretty rare in that condition. Also, the calfab swinger on the back. And of course the ATC cover. Cannot see what kind of axle from the pic. Could be a durablue or a nasa.

The 70 is pretty clean for an all original trike.

Oh, wow. And that's the perfect place for it forever. Pat your buddy on the back for the preservation.

The chain guard is stock, the sprocket cover isn't on it. The pipe is a Paul Turner.

Somebody on another forum posted about the chain not being on there. It had to come off, along with the axle to get the trike through the door and down the steps into the basement. I don't think he plans to ride it down there, so the chain really isn't a requirement.

I got the dvd blackwater forever for christmas with 5 hours of footage on it. You can order it off ebay. Kind of sux cause it only goes back to like 1989 so hardly any trikes on it. Still very interesting to watch!
