1981 110 Honda Carb only runs on choke

I just rebuilt the top end of the engine. I put the carb on after cleaning it really good. Now when it runs it will only run on full choke. Any thoughts as to what is causing this. Any other time I have had this problem it is a blockage in a jet, but they are all clean. Your two cents are welcomed

I'm no expert when it comes to jetting, but i'm pretty sure your running lean.

hey what do your exhaust gaskets look like? that will do it if theres a exhaust leak? just a thought. it happened to my old fourtrax.

The exhaust gasket is brand new as all of the gasket are now. It sounds so sweet now just like it did 30 years ago. Man what a great way to go back in time!

Are you using the stock filter set up ? The 110's need allot of intake back pressure . Also are you positive the pilot jet is perfectly clean .

I am going to do a rebuild on it and no I DID not have the air filter on and I kinda thought that might paly a role in it all. I ran out of time last night and I will put it on and try it again. It might be a little tight right now with the new piston and rings so I will break it in a little and try again.
