185 Honda question

Hi Guys (and girls)

My Dad has a 1982 honda it is a 185cc I don't know the corresponding letter for the trike. Either way I do not see an service manual on this site, and I am looking at it compared to my 250sx. I know where my oil filter is on the 250sx. I see nothing on the 185.



Do the 185cc models have oil filters ?

Nope. There should be a screen inside where the drain plug is, but no true oil filter on those.

81-83 is the 185s model. Yes there is the screen behind the drain plug, and there is also a rotor you can clean behind the right side cover.

I think the screen just filters out the big chunks of crap that might try to get into your engine from oil additions
