Well I have tried to find a manual to no avail. Clymer's catalog dosent list one and can't find a Haynes either. So who produces the book? Don't have Kawi Dealer near here. Ready to start on this thing help me out!
You actually need two manuals. The 84/85 base manual and the 86/87 supplement. You should be able to get the base manual off ebay fairly cheap. There are two different types of base manuals. One is for just the 84. It just says KXT250 on the cover. The other is same but with extra chapter for the 85 supplement. It says TECATE on the front of it. both have green covers with a color pic of a red 84
try this guy also:

I got my factory 86/87 supplement from him a couple years ago. I also bought some 250R parts from him. He's a good guy.
i had heard a rumor that Kawasaki has a number you can call and get a photocopy of the manuals. Costs $40 or so. I just heard this and have never tried it. Maybe someone else can help on this.
Good Luck!
