I don't think Kawi ever made a 250 other than a Tecate. Not sure though, check the old site, go to specifications, and look through.

So I was wrong, but I've never saw, or heard, or a klt 250 around here.

Actualy that pic is the only klt 250 ANYTHING I've saw.

The KLT 200 and 250's were all manual clutch (hand) and anything smaller is semi auto. I have a 200, and think the 250 is similar also in a way that it also has locking rear differential, you unlock it to make easier turns, or lock it and it will be a straight axle like your honda. The only bummer about the 200 and 250s to me is that they dont have reverse, and many of them are electric start only, with only a few of them having the optional kick start back up. They are really good work machines, and thats about it imo. Good luck!

I can't believe Kawi never put reverse on them, otherwise they would be a really great utility trike. I saw one in mint shape for $500, but I'm glad I waited for the 250ES. Its no fun backing up a trailer and wheeler without reverse.

My grandfather has a KLT 200 with a manual clutch, but I really thought my father's KLT200 is a semi-auto. I thought maybe my fathers' was a 250 but the fender decals say 200. I haven't checked the engine as its stored in "The Big Shed". I think they are different years though and both very early.
