Anyone want to go to this ride again ? The thought right now is for April 9th weekend . How's that sound ?

We are doing it later than my b-day on march 20th cuz after 1st of april they open the showers up and you can ride later. So the weekend of 8-10th is lookin good.

We'll get more info for camping up when the time gets closer. For those of you who are fimilar with the park give some of the others some insight as to location and perks. Was a great ride last year.

that weekend looks good for me!!!! got about 6 bikes that will be coming with me. park is awesome. paved roads, clean bath houses, some electric sites. sand flats with mud holes drag racing and easy riding. miles of trails easy to difficult. flag and helmet required. i think basic sites are 11 bucks a day not sure on electric sites. 5 bucks a day to ride. looking forward to it!!!!

Oh wow reddawg, you're REALLY close to Leerjak (great place to ride). We'll have to do another ride out there sometime too. Yeah, this is St. Joe State park near Farmington, MO.

tes 1st weekend of april and we are looking at spots 101-106 and 125 -120 101 and 103 are taken already i think but anything close to that is all close

I have every intention on making this ride again. Its the one time a year I get to air out the current 2 stroke. Last years top speed shoot out was a tie between two liquid r's at 64mph. I hope to see someone top that. I have to say that there were a few Tecate's and only one of them hit 57mph. The other's were lower. The radar gun dont lie, good chance to back up that trash talk men.

Well I am just going to bring my 87 big red and the 85 250r. The tecate will most likely be sold by then, and the other 2 tecates are on the market. I figured big red to cruz around and use to hit the showers with, and R to blast the woods.

We will bring 2 200x, a 200s, and a 110. Also bringin some quads for 2 smallest kids because I red somewhere that kids have to be 12 or older to ride 3 wheelers there.

i have never been to st.joe,but one of my buddys told today that the sand has alot of lead,and other chemicals that will really eat at trailprotrailpro bike over time

I dont know about eating at your bike, but there is a lead "problem" there.

Supposedly the lead poisoning amongst youths in the area is pretty high because of the lead trailings. To combat the problem, and keep the park open one of the things they did was install a bike wash.

I think as long as you don't go eating the ground, you should remain lead free. Just be sure to wash everything before you head out. Yeah, I'll be up for another Leerjak ride before too long....

Im pretty sure the lead isnt going to eat at your trike. In order to even get to the lead you have to dig over a foot into the ground thats if you hit s shallow spot. I know people who were supposed to work there clearing the lead out. They mentioned that they needed to dig atleast 16 inches then much much deeper. I also live right by it and ive never had nor heard of any problems with it eating anything on a trike/bike. That being said, the sand itself isnt the greatest on your trike/bike, but hey, what is? lol

Yeah Brett it is for teh 1st- 3rd weekend. You should be able to change the dates on that if you give them a call. It shouldnt cost you anything.

hey bro...st joe is alot of hard packed sand with some water/mud holes. trails are easy to brutal (try trail 100 to test your endurance...lol) holeshots should do you pretty good. Mark

My kids are really gettin excited about this trip. My oldest decided to tear down his 110 to repaint the forks and frame. Ive been so busy gettin theirs ready, I havent had time to touch any of mine!

Just got both of mine done and ready for the trip new rear tires and new front tire rebuilt the rear master and caliper new chain and sprokets all on the x so it should be ready

Well I pulled the R out for the first time this year. I added a gallon of gas/premix and second kick she started right up like a champ! However after burning it around the yard and almost tearing thru a fence, I found out that my R had no rear brakes. No fluid in the mater cyclinder could cause that haha. Filled and bled it and all is well. I got my flags on the rides and ready to roll.

You can get them on site or there is a Shell station at the entrance road that sells them and I think they are a little cheaper .

Special NOTE:.........I have been told that there are NO more camp sites that are reservable at St Joe state park. With that said, the rest of the sites are a first come first serve basis. So if you do not have one, please get there early enough to snag a site.

Looks good enough Curt! I got site 025 reserved last night. There were 11 or 12 other non-electric sites left at the time. I checked a few minutes ago and there were still some left. Check out http://www.icampmo.com and click on the by Park link. I recommend booking soon. Dad will probably show up late friday afternoon and the rest of us will be there later in the evening. We will probably have 3 200x's, a KLT200 and 2 KLT110's. (If I can steal one from thestud25. lol)

It was a great weekend, weather turned out perfect too! I am sorry to didnt get to meet up with everyone and ride with everyone, as the camp sites were split everywhere haha. But all in all it was a great weekend and had a blast for sure. We need to do this much more times. Funny thing was, I had numerous people asking me, whats the deal with all the 3 wheelers.....they have seen some here at the park but nothing of this magnitude hahaha.
