NEED HELP! i got an old '84 honda 200s. it ran fine but leaked alot of oil between cylinder and head and cylinder base. i removed the motor from frame and took the head off and put new gaskets in. i played around with the piston (cleaned it up) moved it around.. and such.. and put it all back together. the moter is about 10xs harder to pull, more compression i suppose. but... the timing on the cdi and on the fly wheel will not line up. the advancer on the cdi is so far ahead that it wont line up with the thing that moves around on the cam shaft.... can you help me with timing this machine up?

Make sure your flywheel is at "T" when your camshaft marks are lined up. If so, then you may be 180' out on you camshaft. With the CDI taken off, put the bolt back in the end of the camshaft and and use that to rotate your cam 180. Put the bolts back in our cam gear, and before you put the CDI back on, give it a pull, should be alot easier, if you have it correct. Also, pull the boot off the carb and make sure you're sucking in air...you should feel a decent amount of vacuum when someone else pulls it for you..if not then recheck you timing and cam position.

Please tell me you didn't just put the cam chain back on without lining up any marks.....
