Hello three wheeler forum,
I have an 85 200x with what feels like a "stripped" kickstarter,
I pulled off the size cover to see how it works and it looks to
me like you would have to split the case to get this fixed.
is this true?
any advice would be appreciated as I need to fix it before a big
dune trip coming up in November.
Thank You

Fist off 'Welcome to 3Wheeler World! We hope you enjoy it."
As John said you must split the cases to get to the kickstarter ratchet gears. Also, there was a service buletin from Honda from 1985 that stated the spring in the internal assembly needs replaced. Or something to like that. I will see if I can dig it up.

Thank you for the replies john & Howdy,
well I am no longer in denial, the info you gave and my new manual
confirm that I am going to have to split the case. the engine runs great
good compression, no leaks etc. but I suppose this would be a good time
to replace some other parts while I am in there, any more info on the
spring recall would be great,
-On another note what a cool forum, it great to see all of the people
who are interested in these ol bikes,
thanks again,
Sean
