my 85 atc 110 wont idle

i recently traded for a honda atc 110 its an 85 and runs awesome most of the time but it bogs down sometime if you crush it and it wont idle and hasnt ive cleaned the carb and that did nothing i really dont know anything my friend is a mechainc so he helped me clean in but nothing it wont idle it has some sort of sucking noise when it is running but idk what to look for :wondering

welcome to the forum!, sounds like an air leak, there should be 2 rubber boots, one from carb to motor and one from carb to airbox. spray the rubber boots with WD40 and if the idle changes then you know you have an air leak! if this doesnt help, you may have to set the air+ fuel mixture screw. mite be set to Lean... but one thing at a time.
