sterdyproducts.com (usually takes a week before they ship anything)
dratv.com
hondaatc70.com (great group to talk to about modding 70s)
I'm sure you know of them but they have everything you'll need. Look into wheels spacers to make it easier to kick and be prepared to grind a tiny amount of metal on the frame to bolt it in (I have a gpx 140). Other than that simply open up your wallet. I'm really interested to see the crf body parts on the 70
I'm going to run 15/33 ratio so I'll let you know what happens when I ride it

Thanks for the tips! I have a grinder so the frame shouldnt be a problem. Iam also hoping the body panels turn out good, iam not expecting this to be some flashy build just something that i can take out and ride so it wont be that pretty!

I got it off ebay, everything included it was about 300$ shipped.
Here is a link to mine I did last fall.
I still amd working on cosmetics, but has some good info and ideas if you want them.
I too ran the CRF 50 Tank. I need to get up new pics with the shrouds mounted.

Well there it is, iam actually thinking of cutting down the cr80 seat and making it work somehow when my crf50 tank gets here but we will see. If not how exactly does the seat pan and foam attach to each other once a seat cover is put on? Any other tips and suggestions would be great thanks!

Gonna have to modify your foot pegs or get different ones since the engine is wider.

pit bike pegs have a different offset,, be careful,, you will end up with your pegs 2 inches from the fenders,,

I've used 2 different lifan motors in mine never had a problem with the stock pegs engine isn't any wider than a stock 70

On the Lifan I just bought, there was an engine casting that prevented the stock 70 pegs from being drawn up all the way. I could have used spacers/washers, but I just redrilled a set of 90 pegs.

My $.02, http://hondaatc70.com/Boltonrearbrake.aspx scroll down to footpegs. I installed mine the other day and they are awesome. Or you can always make your own. I figured with the amount of money in my 70 that an $80 set of pegs was no big deal.
If you'd like a pic of them mounted up I'd be happy to supply it.

Here ya go. All I did with the intake was bolt it on. The only problem I have is the choke hits the tank if you try to use it, thus why people stretch these things

yep came with it. Like I said on my 70 with the fiberglass tank everything clears. IDK if the metal vs fiberglass are different underneath, like with different bends, but that is my experience
And thanks guys. Handlebars and controls should be by tuesday maybe wednesday and I'm ordering the seat foam tomorrow. Nothing like waiting till the last minute :D

I am stuck on the same thing on my Second one.. My oil cooler is a bit large for under the tank.. I was thinking where the front Honda plate goes but the lines want to crimp when you turn the bars.

I did a test fire tonight on my 70 and it sounds great. I am running a built up GPX 125 with big valve head, tb300 cam and high compression piston. It should give my Piranha 140 a run for its money when it's all together. Still need to find a place for the oil cooler though. For now I just looped the hose to bypass for now until I figure out where I want it.
Carb float is sticking so I have to pull it off to fix it Monday night. I am using something else besides a 70 tank now and really like how it doesn't look like most other 70's. I will post some pics up by the end of the week. Maybe even a test drive video.

Not really . For the time being I'm not running a cooler. The only thing I could figure is 2 L brackets bolted just infrontof the tank and let the cooler freeball it. When I test fitted on the front end it seemed like no matter what the cooler lines would be hitting the frame or the mounts would be covered up.

You could have bought my ATC with the 140 already in it for then less then what you have in it so far. It was ready to ride before I started to pull it apart to build the 125. I just got the frame for the full suspension 70 out of storage so that is next. The forks are already done for it.

Pretty much, the 70+ the motor i bought is what you were asking for the 140, i should have just bought that! Gives me something to say i built though, and learn more about them. Iam actually picking up another 70 for 100, cant pass it up.

What size front tire is everyone using on their 70? Same as the rear, 16x8x7?

Yes same as the rear. If your using the stock length frame with the 140 I don't think you can go much bigger.
