I am confused, as I was reading this article about valve adjustments, It clearly states that your piston needs to be at TDC on the compression stroke. It also says that if you can wiggle the crank and your valves do not move, you are on the compression stroke. If there is noticable valve movement, You must go back 180º to be at top dead center. Doesnt this contradict what it states in the honda service manual? It says that you need to be at TDC on the compresion stroke (both rocker arms loose). I didnt sleep well last night so am I just reading into this wrong?

sometimes they let idiots write articles who are bass ackwards. ;)

I imagine what they are trying to say is that if you can rotate it back and forth a few degrees, it has to be on the compression stroke.

If there is any valve movement, it's on the exhaust stroke or just completed one.......

This is exactly how I read it.

I've always just set it to TDC, and if I can move the rockers it is on the correct stroke for adjusting the valves. If not it is 180 out
