I have a black clarke gas tank with all black maiers. The clarke isnt as smooth and shiny as the remaining plastics. Is there a method of getting a better gloss on the plastic. Please help.

Try a GOOD plastic polishing compound, and lots of elbow grease.

Sand paper is for rougher, faded tanks. Go with compound or just wax and elbow grease. Read the threads on redoing plastic tanks and remember you are in the final stages of polishing. Not Sanding.
