View Full Version : 250r fenders fit 1985 200x?? or Overfender

i always get splashed in the face with mud and goggles just get full of mud whenever it is wet and i live in British Columbia canada and it is always raining and muddy
my 200x splashed me to much and i cant go to fast or i can see i was wondering if the 250r fenders fit a 200x and are they longer than the 85 200x fender or i was also thinking what about a 200x NOS overfender idont know if it rivets on or not i dont personaly want to put wholes in my fender please let me know if you have any info or IDEAS!!:p

rear fender not sure....front fender is a direct fit

250R fenders aren't going to give you any more coverage than 200x fenders

not sure on what you mean by over fenders unless you are referring to the mudflaps o most hard tails, then I recommend against it, as the ones on my 225 dx were about worthless, on or off of it made no difference. So I left them off, and I don't regret it they tended to hold a lot of mud and then hang down and put stress on the fender itself.

Yeah, a 250R fender doesn't give more coverage, it just makes the front look a bit more streamlined...

If it were mine, I would buy a 2nd fender and seat and make mud flaps. The fenders you have are pretty nice and I wouldnt want to add anything to them, much less risk cracking them in the woods or cold weather. Everyone needs a beater set

The fender extender or over fender should help somewhat....or look for a full fairing
