How many of us bought new trikes back in the 80s and thought they were very comfortable right from the factory??? Even the handle bar position??? How many of you know what im referring too??

I got a brand new 85 250sx when I was 14. It seemed like it was comfortable, then I added a desert seat and Terrycable fork kit. That made it more comfortable. That was almost 30 years ago though..

I got a new 85 200x when I was 14. I'm sure I may have tweaked the bars, probably tilted them up a little, better for wheelies. I do remember waiting till Christmas on my wheel spacers, but like
dcreel said, alot of water under the bridge since then.
What exactly are you getting at?

At what angle does the factory set the handle bars at assembly ? There is a certain angle that that the bars are set at when they assemble the bike! Just wondering how many people know this!

I believe that bars are to be set at the angle of the forks but you have to set them where it is comfortable for you as we are all made differently

I would think most bars would be part of assemble at the dealership anyway. Therefor you have a kid making minumun wage putting these together. I doubt this is gaged by factory specs.

I think i was 11 when my folks suprised me with "i think" an 83 honda 110. It was much more comfortable then my huffy with a banna seat. I'll tell ya!!!
My 200x at 13 was much better than the 110. Not once did i have to change bar placement. I do notice the 200x is much smaller now than it seemed 25 years ago.

You got it autoXer, they are set at the factory with the angle of the neck on the frame and forks!! Not many people are aware of this....

I got a 1985 ATC200S brand new Christmas 1984 when I was 9. It was prolly a bit big for me so I really don't remember how the bars felt to me - I just know I put several million miles on it over the following 10 years.
