I know this is a stupid question I got new exhaust mounted up,the old header nuts had to be torched off so I didnt break the studs. What is the size of these nuts?I tried a couple I had in the garage they turn a few threads by hand and then instantly tighten up.I want to use the right 1s. I need to get this thing fired up so I can hear some 4 stroke thunder:)

Lol I just took mine off of the bike I just picked up. They were both different and both stripped... Nice right? I ended up going to the dealer and ordering a new set. So I can't be much help other sharing the annoyance.

They are a M8 fine thread (pretty sure), they'll only cost a few pennies at the hardware store. Get a couple sizes to make sure or they also should be the same thread at the bolt that goes through the brake lever, or clutch lever. Take the nut off the end of that, try it out, should work, match it up at the hardware store.

Thanks guys.I bolted up the carb, put fuel in it tried to kick it and nothing I look down and see a puddle of fuel under the bike.I thought line wasnt sealing and then I see the idle speed screw drip drip drip.Ive cleaned and rebuilt carb 2 now and am like this is fricking unbelievable. It might need the pipe to have proper back pressure to run. Then I go to start my Aprilia 450 thing is cranking, backfiring thru the pipes. It almost started and aprilias safety device so you dont fry the starter cuts in an kills total ignition. ran the battery down on that ,dammit to hell Im getting nowhere fast and this is getting to be a night, thru in the towel and took a shower.Idk I paid 200 for it and it seems by time Im done Im gonna have to spend close to 700-800 to get it running right, these things are only going 500 to 1000 so idk maybe im wasting time and money.THen again it is a hobby and a project bike,do you guys/gals feel same way?
