I found a 1980 honda 110 that runs and starts/shifts great. but has been painted all black. Good seat. and tires for $125 and about $80 in gas to go get it....Ive been looking for a small yard/toy trike...what do people think of the 110? The only part I dont like about the deal is that it's painted black..but for $200 I think its a good buy???

Sounds like it's in pretty good condition. If it runs, it's a good buy for $200. Fun little guys for putting around the camp or yard. Hi/low gearing makes them good little tanks for towing small stuff, up to about 500lbs realistically. Mine can just pull my jeep back and forth.

Most likley the paint job is not a catalized proffesional paint job. Pressure wash what will come off and use a 400-600grit sandpaper to get the rest off then go up t0 a 8-1000 grit and it should look real nice at that point. Or you can paint it a nice Honda Red or something similar to what I did here.

Looks good...I think when I get the 110 home Im going to strip it down and do my own rattle can job...At least paint it back to factory color...

Would it turn my 25" turf busters from my BR? :)

if its a spray can job, it will wipe off with acetone. There is not another atv like the atc90/110. but at 7 to 8 hp its slow but fun. they float with no rider on them, and my buddy tows his super cub airplane with one!

Well after talking to a friend of mine about going and buying the 110 he told me he would sell me his 1985 110 for $200!
So I paid for it right there and will be picking it up in a few hours...It has a new piston a and rings and will start on one pull..Its all original honda red
and the gastank/seat are in good shape but the rear fender is cracked pretty good. The front tire needs a tube. and it leaks a little oil out of an old gasket that looks easy to fix...So I think the 85 I just got for $200 was a better deal than driving 350mile round trip to buy a painted up 1980 110 for $125...What do ya think?

plus you have a cdi on the 85

Yeah cdi is a bonus...now I can put the bearclaws meats on the bigred and the old lady can use the 110 to put her trailer around the yard....Picking it up at 2pm today! Now if I can find a $200-$500 1985 sport trike my fleet would be complete with 3 1985 ATCs for around $1200 :)
