Well, i just looked up their site and the Rage Cages for your T-Cat. My guess is you can use your stock carb boots. I just installed some 1st gen V-Forces on my 780 triple project. The stock carb boots have those air-guides on the sides, i had to cut them off and taper the intake in order to mount them to the V-Forces. I havent run the engine yet, Im prepping it to install in my 02 MXZ. But after cutting the side air-guides, (or whatever they are called) the fit up was just fine. I also had to trim my intake gaskets to work with the bigger V-Force cage. However, all that said, I would give Boyesen a call and check with them to be sure. Hers a link to their site http://www.boyesen.com/

My guess is the reed cage failed 1st resulting in a smoked reed. I'd check with V-Force 1st to see if they may help out. There have been issues with the first run V-3 set-ups.

You are correct sir the cage Did fail first thank god that all of those broken reed supports didn't hurt the piston called v force and they said send them broken cage and they will replace it that made me feel better about this whole situation. Rage cages came in new boots came in put it together tomorrow . Now I will be able to tell every one which is better v force or boysen I didn't run the boysen's yet but I am already impressed with the fit and finish. I will keep you posted how they perform:lol:

Cool. I have heard from many people that Moto Tassinari (V-Force) really stands behind their stuff...
