anybody kno any easy ways to gwt the slide and spring on a carb?

If it's a spring with the infamous 'w' clip that holds the needle in, or ANYthing that can fly, do it inside a big box or somewhere you can find the parts when they fly.

Gravel driveway is not recommended.

ebay 200x carb on a 83 185s, just getting thecable and all together, and yes, it tends to fly

Definitely do it in a well lit area.

I hold the spring tight to the cap with my 1st 2 fingers, slip in the cable and assemble. May take you a few tries to get yourself in a better position; Removing the carb may also help you immensely, as it has for me in the past..............
