I recently traded a mini laptop 2 weeks ago for a 1985 250es big red..Its my 2nd last year i made a big mistake by selling my 84200x and was looking for a backyard trike, till i noticed 1 in my neighborhood.was hard to communcate with the owner he was mexican and spoke broken english..all he told me was it needed battery..I went over it jumped it off w/cables and rode it around my yard 3/4 acre...mostly yard..shifting was hard had to use my hand.It also pulled hard to the right..And the kickstarter would not catch ..I have both side covers off was wondering what needs to be done to get kicker to catch.and gearshifter to smoothly shift.Oil in case was very watered down ,and rear differential gear oil looked like melted chocolate bar..Any tips would be greatly appreciated..Thanks long live atcs

Hello NC brethren . Sounds like you may have a trike that was ridden through some deep water that was put away hard and wet . Changing the fluids is a good start for sure . Pulling to the right could be a combination of things . Take a close look at the triples and see if they are aligned , then check your hub - rim area . You may want to check the front brake to see if it's sticking ; not so much for the pulling but to see if it was run through deep water and might be worn or rusty . Search the threads on here because there is a ton of good info .
